I ran a Caliber SRT4 today... I was cruising along minding my own biz, when i see this caliber weaving in and our of traffic. When we got to the next light he pulled up next to me and start revving the motor. So far be it for me to pass this up..I launch at 4lbs and put what looked like several bus lengths on him. I slow down and wait for him to catch up and he says lets run from 60mph (typical SRT4 owner) so i said ok....he hits the horn 3 times and its on..he jumps a few feet on me, then i wave as i go bye and pulled about 6 cars on him before i back out at a little over 120. Not surprising since it was only rated at 0-60 in 6.2 and a measly 1/4 in 14 and some change.

Waste of gas, but sometimes you just gotta put people in their place..........behind you. ;)

Just bought one of those things....nice power, no safe way to get it to the road. It has some funky torque management system that restricts laying all of the power down when you would need it. Of course, I know better than to mess with a ty or a sy. If anything, the guy just wanted to know if he could hang. He really couldnt have been serious....right?

Well, some people think that if your car has good hp numbers then its supposed to be fast. The caliber has numbers similar to a stock typhoon however, the engine and torque management will not allow you to see the 285 hp its rated at. In fact, wot is only at 80% (drive by wire). There's a lot of potential there but you have to completely scrap the pcm and start over. Its apparent the guy really didnt know what he was up against...

WHAT!!!! 285 hp, then if it has a few stickers to make up for the loss of hp from the torque management it's definitely worth wasting some gas and shutting them down :rotf:
