Installing datamaster

I tried installing datamaster from their website but when i try to open anything like the authorization code or aldl record it gives me some trial error and closes the program. Any ideas or another version i need to download?

just tried to download & install it on my desktop pc, works as far as i can go without aldl cable.

no its vista, it seems like it works untill you try to open authoization code or record aldl

yea i think the forum you sent me said that tts isnt going to fix it anytime soon. Does it work with windows 7?

works fine in trial mode on my notebook with windows xp sp3, tried to install & run it on my desktop pc (windows 2003 server), works as well, serial dialoge opens, no crash.

Now it wont connect to the truck. What do i need to do after i turn on my engine, and turn on datamaster. I also played around with the aldl serial timing?? Its my first time

btw im using a moates usb adapter, do you have to download some install driver for it or what????

You said that you adjusted the ALDL Link Timing, did you adjust it between (190-210)?

Does your computer recognize the adapter? If it doesn't you will have to download a driver. Moates' support site tells where to get it.

There's another website that explains the adjustments that need to be made for ALDL timing communication. I'll try to look for it.

190-203 i didnt go to 210 is it worth trying?

It's worth a shot, if you haven't already, Powertuneplus.com has info on connecting, and about Datamaster.

Something else to check:
The switch on the Xtreme ALDL box needs to be set to "Open" not "10k"

yea i found it 15 min in, and thought it would solve the problem but didnt, so it should just start working? and do i need to be in aldl record mode to view everything? and does the truck have to be runing to be connected?

Yes you have to Record.

When the smaller Record Dialog box opens up go to "file" "open" and pick a name for the DM file.

It says aldl is connected but PCM isnt
