help with taking off center cap but the key is stripped

I have the zr1 wheels but , and am about to put them on but the key to take the center caps off is busted should i just smash the key hole to take the wheels off or as a last resort smash the cen ter caps off??? help would be great

Tony, use a large flathead screwdriver to remove them.

Don't ruin your $50-75 center caps to take out the $1 bolt. The can be drill out with a reverse drill bit or slotted and removed with a screw driver.

you can also use a bit driver (flat head) smack it with the ole hammer a few times and out they come.

I have two snapped off drill bits in the truck's wheels.

snapped drill bits are always a bitch to get out, usually takes some heat or a diamond drill bit but you might try some of those zirconian drill bits for that
