Lower IC for Trans Cooler?

Anyone ever used the lower IC (heat exchanger) for a tranny cooler? I am getting A2A here soon and bought a tranny cooler but upon thinking of a good place to mount it I realized maybe the lower IC would make a good cooler altogether. Any thoughts here?

Na just place a large trans cooler Same spot .You'll save about 8Lbs. Because the stock cahe has all that extra brackets and stuff

Also, the CCHE is not designed to operate at trans pressure. It would fail, puking Trans fluid everywhere. But, I agree the location is good for a proper trans cooler. I have mine mounted behind my CCHE, and it works fine (with a scoop).

I put my B&M Trans cooler in the stock lower IC bracket along with an electric Spal fan and blade of death scoop.. should help keep my trans a bit cooler :)

Well that sucks. I was hoping to have some fittings welded/sweated on trhere to bolt up to the tranny lines. Oh well, guess Ill use the cooler I got.
