Chrome Z06 Wheels and Tires for $800??

I know this goes in wheels and tires forum but I am about to go take a look and want some other people's opinions before I make a purchase like this.

These wheels are 5 minutes from my house and I would like to go look at them. What do you guys think?

Will a 285/35/18 fit on our trucks ok? I know a 275/40/18 does... So these should be the same overall diameter... but what about turning and width?

If I buy these, I want to sell them, keep the tires, and buy black ZR1 wheels from eBay. I love those 5 spoke old school ZR1 wheels. hehe

Ready to Go (4) Chrome 18" z 06 Wheels which (2) are 18x9.5" and the other (2) are 18x10.5" with Chrome Lugnuts, Gorilla Locks-Sumitomo Tires (285x35ZR18) are already mounted to wheels.
Tire Tread: 70%: (1)Tire has (2) plugs but is ready to go and the other 3 Wheels are in great shape ready to go also.Wheels and Tires were purchased brand new approx 8 months ago between $1200-1300.00.

Fits: 1998-2002 Camaro, Firebird, Corvette.

Price is negotiable. The reason why these are for sale is owner,Steve, recently traded in car for another car.

So is that a good deal would you guys say?

The ZR1 wheels are about $500 so Id want around the same for the chrome Z06s...to break even you know...

Tires are $162 each new @ tirerack....

I'd be a little concerned about the tire with 2 plugs in it. I don't know if I'd trust it / want 2 plugs in a tire.

And with the AWD system, I'm not sure I'd want to replace 1 tire in a set that had 30% wear. I know, the difference in diameter is probably trivial, but I don't know if I'd want to do it. But that's just me.

+1. Thats about right for the price though. If you're gonna buy new tires anyway though and different rims, is this really worth it?

Well, its a Discount Tire patch/plug which means its stronger than an area without a hole. (dont ask me how I know). I want them for the tires actually.
+ $500 for new ZR1 wheels
+ $700 for used Z06 wheels and tires
- Z06 wheels $400-$500
- C5 wheels/tires $200-$400 (four 17" and two 18")
New ZR1 rims with used tires will be only a few hundred instead of $1200+

it sounds like a great price, being that im asking $600 for my polished stockers with brand new tires, so good luck

Yup I saw that. Actually even a little cheaper. Then another $600-700 for tires.

Oh well. I didnt buy them. I figured I could save some money for myself and hook up a board member with some cheap chrome Z06 wheels since I would have shipping boxes and all ready to go. Guess thats not in the cards. heh
