I'm a a few different internet forums, two of the local, but I can honestly say that I feel like this board is as close to family as you can get on the 'net. God I love this place!

You took the words out of my mouth. I seriously feel like everyone here has welcomed me with open arms , even when I expected some "flaming" sometime....it really hasnt happened, THANKS BROTHAS :) :myclone: ---

LMFAO. I hope Hood comes in here and reads this.... he could give you 2 stories about me and toilets.

Yeah, only a true friend would let you destroy their toilet when it's the first time that he's even been there. I do believe we threw that toilet away and re-sheet rocked the entire bathroom. Didn't want to take any chances.

But seriously, I have always said that once you get in so far, it quits being about the trucks and becomes about the people. That's the charm of Nationals. Your first is for the trucks, every time after is for the people.

I know of about 50 people on here that if they broke down anywhere in GA, I'd gladly haul their truck back to my place, toss 'em the keys to my truck, and say "Drive safely, I'll call you when she's roadworthy." And I know those 50 feel the same way about another 50. For me, the trucks are simply the hook, the common denominator, the outward reason to have a get-together...but the underlying reason we all do what we do with these trucks is the friendship with other owners. That was Dave...it was never an inconvenience to help another gearhead. No excuses, just whatever it took to help.

I can't imagine a group of people (aside from my church and family) that I feel more closely to or that I'm more proud to be a part of. I know we always look for a reason for a tragedy occuring, some good to come out of so much bad....and maybe Dave's death will bring this group that much closer together. Maybe his devotion to this group is what we'll all remember the next time we feel like giving up or have some doubt in another member. I know he'll be my drive for working on my truck for a long time....that voice saying, "Hey candy ass, pick that impact gun back up & finish the truck. It's not quite 4 am yet, there's still plenty of time."

I echo this and all that Hood just said. My own typhoon has been apart for 4 years, yet I still check syty multiple times an hour if possible, everyday for sure.

Just as I have extended my house, help to fellow syty people, they have done the same to me. Most of my good friends have come from here somehow, and they are part of my life not just for trucks, i turn to them for other things in life also.

Today was Myclone's funeral and a sad time for everybody. Today was also my last day of work after 7 years. I think it is time now that I have some free time, to get my own truck back on the road, not for me, but in the spirit of Myclone and the family of people I have come to enjoy on here.
