Odyessey 680 or Dyna-Batt 5575?

Anybody using any of these batteries?

Im thinking of removing the optima, battery box, wiring etc and just using the stock battery cables and putting one of these small batteries down where the vac ball was... but was wondering if anybody's had good results with these little things. I drive my sy maybe 5 days a week and race it on the weekends 3 am in the morning so some nights it can get cold so I need a decent battery but these sound good.

Thoughts?
Which one would you go with?
Think it'll hold up in a daily enviroment?

Thanks

I am considering the Odyssey 680MJT right now.
Same thing, I need more room but don't want to relocate my battery to inside the Ty.

My Ty sits in storage so I am concerned that this battery will hold up to regular storage.

The Odyssey 680MJT is a good battrey. I used it when my truck was running and had good cranking power but if it sits for a month it will go dead (atleast mine did).

But great space and weight saver IMO.

Every Odyssey battery I have ever had did the same thing, once it had a voltage drop, dead cell(s). On my Sy I was considering a Stinger dry cell (that I just noticed looks identical to the DynaBatt at a higher price. ), they work well as long as they are used or charged consistantly. I may still use the slightly larger model, there seems to be enough room for it.

Yea I seem to have the same issue with optima red tops haha.. Im just not happy with the battery in the bed and all the cabling for it and the remote terminals in the engine bay.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the odyessey

A local here has had one (a 680) in his Ty for ~ 3 years now... Works great.

If you have lots of stereo equipment, forget it.
If you frequently sit in the truck with the radio on and the engine not running, forget it.

It's not a very "deep" battery in terms of lots of reserve. It starts and runs his ty just fine.
It's mounted on the stock tray with a bracket fabbed to hold it to the fender. You can get a cone air filter on a 90 off the turbo with this setup.

hmm.. Good info.. im not much of a stereo guy. I have a nice head unit and decent speakers but no box etc.. So the only real draw would be the volvo fan so Im thinking i'd be ok with the odyessey from what you said.
