Rear QA1 install

Alright im in the middle of installing QA1's on the back of my typhoon, and either im retarded or im missing some parts

first off what i bought:
http://www.sytyperformance.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=173&category_id=189&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26

i bought the shocks off RPM, apparently this should be direct bolt up but im having issues and was wondering if anyone else has installed these or knows wtf is wrong..

first pic: upper mount for factory strut..

strut1.jpg

And second the top of the QA1 and included Tbar.. now im pretty sure its not just me, but i should need some sort of upper "loop" on the top of the qa1 for the tbar to go through should i not?
because there is defiantly no way to mount it from what i can see unless someone knows something i don't...

strut2.jpg

Second issue is the lower bushing/sleeve, it came with a larger sleeve that fits over the lower stud on our trucks, but its alot bigger than the hole in the bushing for the strut,
so either it has the wrong bushing in there or i would have to have the hole in the bushing drilled out to fit the sleeve?

ugh.. im so frustrated right now, figured it would be a quick 1hr -1hr 1/2 install to get these in and it turns out to be a headache..
now almost 11 at night, i work in the morning and my truck is all ripped apart and would rather not put the factory shocks back in at this point..

any feedback from someone who has done this install already, im really hoping im just doing it wrong,
i don't want to wait another 2 weeks to get a couple more parts if i actually am missing something

Pretty sure your installing it upside down, the T-bar goes in the side with the bushing already installed, cant speak for the leafspring plate side since I havnt seen the qa1s first hand.

Yep, thats what it says right in the description: "includes T Bar Conversion for upper shock mount, and sleeved for lower mount. SOLD Individually"

Also says that the lower mount is sold individually..

Thats the wrong shock. For that T-bar conversion to work the shock needs to have an eyelet mounting point on top like the bottom does. This is what is should look like.

The bushing you show in the 3rd pic does go in the bottom of the shock. Its a tight fit but with some lubrication and a little force it will go in there.

Re: Rear QA1 install

you need 3 things per shock to install these.

1 tbar to mount top in oem location at the top. part no bar350k

2 adapter as shown in pic above to which changes shock from stud mount at top to eyelet mount ( shown in madtyphoons posted pic)
part no ss300LT

3 the bottom stud attached to the leaf spring perch needs to be changed (not shown above)

this spaces the body of the shock away from the spring perch, otherwise the lower body diameter will rub the spring perch and you will not be able to tighten the lower bolt.

all part numbers are shown on the qa1 website. the 1st 2 items are listedas required in the aplication guides footnotes.

the lower mount part you only find out with experience.

you need 7888-108 to mount on the bottom

it is a drect replacement.

just have to think outside the box a little bit.

just imagaine what life is like when you reach a point where the "kit mentality" doesnt work anymore because the "Kits arent ready made" for applications that go that fast. :)

Re: Rear QA1 install

btw that lower bushing sleeve mentioned above. forget it.

when you buy the 3rd item i listed you wont need the metal sleve.
