new owner from Vegas

I just bought my first Typhoon. I picked it up from a guy in Chicago. Everything runs great and is an absolute blast to drive. It has only 500miles on a full engine rebuild and brand new PPG white paint. The rest of the Ty has 175k on it including the original turbo. The turbo runs great but I'm thinking I should be prepared for the turbo to go soon. Im not new to turbos or high hp vehicles. But this is definetly my first domestic. I had a buddy that I grew up with in Alaska that had a Typhoon that was pretty heavily modified. And ever since then I just couldnt get the feeling of owning one out of my head. So now I have one
Anyways, I just wanted to introduce my self. Right now Im just laying low and searching all I can on the forums.

Welcome, I'm new here too. Yep this place is full of info and people that have knowledge of these trucks, Good luck with your new Ty.

his name is Jason. he had an all black Ty. we both graduated from Chugiak. me in 2000 and him in 1999. what part of ak are you from?

Eagle River :p I graduated from Chugiak in 2001. You must be talking about Savikko. His family lives less than 2 blocks from me. He's been on the forums here for a few years now.

holy crap, youre really from ER?! what is your name? i guarentee we know a ton of the same people. and yes Savikko is who im reffering to. i havent seen him in forever. i remember being in anchorage and smoking all types of cars in the Ty. this is funny..what a small world.

I'm Tim Gordon. I never really knew Jason in HS, just after he joined SyTy.net in 2002. He just sold his Ty within the last year and is living in Arizona, driving a Lexus ES300 now.

your name sounds so familiar. im going to bust out my year book and look haha i cant believe Jason sold his Ty. he was all about it back in the day.

i bought the Ty so my girl has something to drive. she needed a new car so i figured id be the good guy and buy her a car. and lucky for me when she finally wants a car of her own ill be able to take the Ty for me haha so when i get the chance ill definetly take some pics.
