OK, RAN THE TYPHOON FOR THE FIRST TIME ON WEDNESDAY, WANTED TO POST THE BEST RUN INFO SO SOMEONE COULD TELL ME IF ITS EVEN IN THE BALLPARK OF WHERE IT SHOULD BE. HERES THE INFO:

-STOCK TRUCK 125K MILES ON IT, CORVETTE ZR1 WHEELS
-STOCK TURBO,
-STOCK COMPUTER,
-OLD ASS AFTERMARKET EXHAUST WITH RATTLING CAT,( NEW RPM ON ORDER)
-STOCK TRANNY BUT FAIRLY NEW - 3500MI.
-MSD IGNITION, (6AL, PLUGS WIRES ETC NEW)
-ELECTRIC FANS,
-IC PUMP UP[GRADE, MANUAL SWITCH
-RE ROUTED IC LINES,
-STOCK FUEL PUMP WITH AFPR. BASE AT 42
-A/C DELETE/ ABS DELETE
-ARIZONA SPEED AND MARINE 52MM tb

ALL PRETTY SIMPLE MODS AS PER RECOMMENDED BY FORUMS ETC.
RUNNING 100 OCTANE AT 12LBS OF BOOST (FORGOT TO ADJUST WASTEGATE DUE TO PREVIOUS PROBLEMS,

NO TC LOCKUP DONE YET.

.500 TREE - CUT A .522.....YEA! :tup:
60 FOOT = 2.005 - LAUNCHED AT 5LBS
1/8 MILE = 8.923
1000 FT = 11.67
1/4 MILE ET = 13.991
1/4MILE SPEED = 96.2MPH

I LEFT IT IN DRIVE, BUT NEAR THE END OF THE TRACK, PROBABLY 80-100FT SHIFTED INTO OVERDRIVE, RPM'S WERE OVER 4K. SO I THOUGHT THAT S WHAT I SHOULD DO.
ON 2 PREVIOUS RUNS I DID SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

DATAMASTER KEPT PINGING ME OUT, SO DIDNT GET A SOLID RECORD (PISSED) :rant:

thats pretty good for 12lbs of boost.. you can probably get a better 60ft and maybe a mph of two at the end of the track.. but in summer weather i'd say that is dead on..

go again in the fall when it is 40 degrees out and you'll run 13.5s all day.

sixty footer needs improvement but other wise seems to be running good

12 lbs of boost...not bad, but I'd bust out the 10mm wrench and squeeze that waste gate rod in for some 18 psi fun if your running 100 octane and a afpr!!!

don't worry about the knock counts so much.. you want to worry about the spark retard (kr) mainly.. data log it then turn the boost up and log some more... log and log until your happy with the level of kr... and adjusting the fuel pressure will help slightly with kr depending on if your richer then you need to be or leaner etc but since you have stock turbo and chip im guessing stick with the base 42 and work your way from there while data logging.

Those are good numbers for 12 psi boost. What is your thermostat temp? Changing from 195 to 160 will give you .2 in qtr. Are you doing the neutral/brake/rev before launching? That will help your 60' times a lot.

I put a 160 thermostat in it when i did the water pump and fans. stock guage isnt very accurate, but it is much cooler. I did the neutral/brake etc. style of launch, but I was kind of scared/ nervous/ anxious etc....botched it all up. plus I didnt want to break anything.

I Havent raced in almost 2 years at the track...I have to say it felt reaaaaal good. Last time I raced was when I had my mercedes CLK55,(13.0 @ 107) ...... but the typhoon is way more fun to launch.

seems good, my 80K typhoon ran a 14.002 @ 96mph 1/4 mostly stock with an ATR exhaust and KN cone filter...other then that stock. I think my best stock 60ft was a 1.88
