I picked up a transfercase from an astro van and found out that it dosent work for tys. If someone in the Houston area wants the whole thing I'll take a $100.00. If someone needs guts lemme know what and how to check it. I dont know what is compatible so your kinda on your own there. Then we can work out a price. I dont really care to try to ship the whole thing.

I already rebuilt mine, If I knew it was that simple I would have just done it first.

Must be a 90-91 Astro Van, which is the small yoke. Tys use the Big yoke that started in 92 on all the AWDs. Astro, Bravada, and Ty. Use the driveshaft yoke from the Astro Van, and it'll work just fine in a Ty.

I thought that was the case but most of the Astro cases I have seen are 27 spline. Do not go by the year. I made that mistake once and will not do it again. Count the splines!!!

Re: Astro tranfer case

You need one from a Bravada or Typhoon it is easiest to make sure that you get a 32 spline one!

It seemed to slide on the trans fine. I'll post up the spline count when I get home tonight. I had it totally bolted up, when the driveshaft wouldnt go in.

Re: Astro tranfer case

If you already had it rebuilt then just get the yoke from an astro or a 91 s-10. Then you can use it!

Much cheaper!!!

the problem is that they didn't provide the bravada in our market also there's no typhoon  i thought the asto T/C or the gmc safari T/C will work on it
