iPhone Dyno: Dynolicious, anyone tried yet?

Hey,

Yeah, I know, long time no post.
Get off me...
:p

Anyways...
Anyone tried this yet: http://dynolicious.com
I searched the archives and got 'nil.

PS: Still no trucks in China, so I'm thinking of off-shoring (haha) a Sy Build in the states with some help from select friends.
Basically, do some wrenching on visits and pay some friends to add goodies while I'm not there in trade for some miles on it or something.
Thoughts on that?

Cool! I see it's in the app store now... I'll get it and compare it to DM's similar features.

Woah, he's still alive! The smog hasn't done you in yet eh?

That's a pretty cool idea... now they just need to make it datalog and I'd consider getting an iPhone.

DM isn't really G-based... it's more like Streetdyno or homedyno.

This looks like G-tech on steroids. Wonder how they get the accelerometer axis calibrated?

That's a cool idea, too bad the iPhone isn't supported on Sprint. Welcome back (although I'm sure it will be short lived  )

I just picked up the G3 last week. I'd try it, but my Ty is in pieces atm...

The reviews on the iPhone App site are pretty mixed for the product... but the bad ones could just be from guys who didn't calibrate correctly or orient it correctly in the vehicle, or who put in the wrong weight for their car.... for $12.95 you really can't lose.... plus it's bound to impress the girlfriends of you single guys :p

I have it. I hope to try it this weekend. I'm looking for a stock value for Drivetrain Loss. 27-30% seems like the "standard", but some have claimed as low as 23%.

Do we have a standard?

^^^ I know I will keep searching, but I thought I'd ask too!

Here is a link to a video review of the product. It basically goes through the setup for an AMG. It show the calibration too. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/...ideo_174587.htm

Basically you hold it in each of the 4 faces until it registers that it's 'in that position' and beeps.
How does this normalize data trending and wiggle out bad data over time?
I have a feeling that there might not be any weighting of data at all yet in it.

Saw a video of it comparing it to other accelerometers and it was off by an .80 in the 1/4 and like 10mph.

That is what I am thinking and if it stays set up for the vehicle it may not be supper accurate but maybe consistant?

You could enter 0% as your drivetrain loss and call it whp/awhp... there's a standard.

How accurate is the Horsepower calculator?
Any sign of 0-60 timings?
