guys, thanks for all the advice and reassurance, i thought maybe i got over my head yesterday after failing to see it. But i dont need it for a everyday ride,although i plan to use it as that eventually. SO until then i will get it fixed. Until then i guess i should monitor my oil level.

i mean REALLY burnt, my other 3 cars dont have such a strong smell.

Well, i restarted the truck, white smoke smells "burnt". Radiator is full to the top, overflow is below the add level by about an inch.

Yeah, its not steam unfortunately. I saw alittle of that when my wife was driving it and i was behind her. I will go and check the antifreeze again now...thanks jerry

Humm, id say its white, it lingers for 3-4 seconds i guess. So what causes water to leak from the head gasket? A blown head gasket would make the truck blow smoke constantly, so this may happen in time i guess? thanks

After driving it for 20 minutes through town for another test drive evrything seemed ok. Started up fine, checked the fliuds all seemed good, pulled alittle on my wrx from 40-90, but after sitting for awhile when i start it up it blows white smoke out the exhaust. :lol: , but at least it doesnt have white walls :P Is the atr catback easy to install? Would a sawsall work good to get the old exhaust off? ALso where are the cats on these things? Is there only 1? Oh, and the "CCHE" is all rusty, is this a problem?
