If your tach is fluttering then I think it is affecting performance. From what I have read spraying alky really puts a strain on our ignition system, and that causes the tach flutter, especially at higher RPMs, which in turn means you are not getting good burn, I think. I will be upgrading to...

while i am no mechanic, has anyone mentioned maybe your balancer has spun, and when you set it to TDC you might actually be setting at a lower number, that might explain why it runs a little better with the timing bumped up a degree or two. just a thought. good luck

they were F1 supercars, old tires. they came with the rims when i bought them, but they were off a heavily modded SS camaro and the rears were more than just a little thin. i was going to buy new anyways, just unexpected is all. luckily the way it blew it didn't damage the rim or anything...
