Yeah UR6's are pretty common among others, Taylor wires ( you can get Red, umm yeah ), cap, rotor (standard issue parts house), other than that just like any other vehical should change all the fluids. Going with a 160* T-stat is pretty common to help keep it cool.

Thanks for the heads up.

How much is a syclone owner going for these days?

Just to be clear, this isn't a sexual thing, is it? :dunno:

You may want to look into TunerProRT also... :2cents:
It is like Datamaster and a lot of us are switching over to it.
You can find in at http://moates.net/ along with anything else you may need.
Also if you want to get into tuning this seems to be the easiest.

sonomaGTIover i'd appreciate any insight into gettin this workin on my ecm... please let me know more...

www.ttspowersystems.com

But like stated above alot of people are switching over since more and more people are making there own custom tunes now.. and if you want to go that route you need to check out the chipping/tuning section of this forum and pickup the following:

1. Laptop
2. Tunerpro RT (gives you editing/data loggin ability) www.tunerpro.net $35 to register RT version, free to try.
3. www.nwstp.com on the left side of the front page are the current definition files = Fee
4. Ostrich real time emulator http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPath=50&products_id=57 $175
5. G1 adaptor (www.moates.net lets you plug in emulator) http://www.moates.net/product_info.php?cPath=25_36&products_id=32 $35
6. ALDL cable (somewhere on www.moates.net for like $50 or same on www.turbotime.us)

Thanks for the idea. Now is this a software package that I use with a laptop? Does it just read data or can I actually program or change settings with it? n00b

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

Thanks Boostedpimp I totally missed you post.

Now I need help. While finding 2 of the wires burnt through and replacing plugs (UR5's), wires, cap and rotor I've eliminated about 90% of the idle and hesitation problem. Truck blew out a lot of condensation too. Checked fuel pressure to about 38psi at idle and it raises to about 42psi at WOT. I haven't checked timing or vac lines yet but the truck just doesn't have it yet. It feels like a high 15 sec truck. :(

Now give me some direction or a starting point to start looking for where my power is.

Replace all the vac lines if they are the original ones.. Mine looked mint until I decided to swap them out anyways and turned out I had a crack infront of the map sensor and one else where that kind effected idle.

Also 38psi at idle sounds low.. stock was 42 I think but that's with the vac line unhooked and plugged. Depending on what chip you have it may need to be around 50psi with vac line unhooked and plugged.

It's all stock except for a MSD coil I found. What's this vac line you speak of?

Re: WWsy/ty.netD?

Ok I need help as to where to look next. I still have an off idle and a hesitation and the truck doesn't run nearly as strong as it should. Not sure what the next step is after I just tuned it with plugs/wires/cap/rotor. Help.
