I finally found the receipt. I got it from Advance Auto and it's made by GP Sorensen part #TSU155 for $13.49 with a one year replacement. I wish I would have looked closer to see that my oil gauge was pegged. I went through a big hassle putting in a new sending unit only to find...

Wow!! I went outside and checked to find it is stuck under the pin. How did this happen and what can I do to get it where it's supposed to belong?
Thanks

The oil and temp gauges never worked in my Sy, so I recently replacecd the temp sensor and got the gauge working. I then decided to tackle the oil which was a total bitch to get to. I replaced the oil sender at the rear of the block after of course having to use an easy out to remove the brass...

Holy cow,
I'm really glad I inquired as I was fixing to do it the old way. I still have plenty of pad left, but they're squeeling in a big way. I also have a wheel that has 0.025" runout, and was thinking of getting it straightened. Anyone think it's worth it...
I've searched the archives and haven't found very much on the subject, but the original owner told me that it is easy to kill the ABS on my SY if I don't do something special. Anyone out there who has heard of this? He said something to the effect of debris going back into the ABS unit thus...

I just can't seem to keep it together long enough to have fun. Last saturday as I was leaving Hooters I heard a strange noise from the front area. I babied it home to discover the axle had backed out again probably ruining another axle. Got to drop...
I was leaving the Redstone Arsenal where I work on the NASA side and there was some kind of mean looking late model dodge truck right on my butt for most of the way out. We get into a one lane area by the main guard shack and he's glued to me big time. I'm in 2 wheel drive mode in the Sy till my...

I've been to the GMC and Chevy place, and they can't find the right bolt for the rear of the propshaft where it bolts to transfer case. They had the fronts and the computer showed the rear bolt, but they can't or don't want to mess with it. Can I just fing a grade 8 bolt of the right size and...

I appreciate the help. I did quite a few turns and got it looking good. I'll get the front end aligned along with the tires balanced to try and get rid of that confounded vibration from 45-55mph. Got my fuel air gauge hooked up and it moves around quite a bit from the...
My Sy has a permanent lean on the driver's side. I've changed the shocks along with the upper/lower ball joints, CV joints, and differential. It was leaning before I did this. The original owner was quite portly in the neighborhood of 235 lbs. Any ideas such as maybe a sacked spring? I torqued...

I appreciate the info. Now if I can get rid of the vibration which I think is the prop shaft. It was missing the rubber boot when I got it and I let it go.
Thanks

Took it out for another Datamaster run. Got up to 14.5 lbs of boost and 96% tps. I'm very pleased as this is the best it's ran since I got it. I've got the files if anyone is interested.
Thanks

Sy1542
Hi
Getting the Sy running better and trying to hook up the fuel/air gauge (Autometer) that's in my pillar pod. The directions say to hook the violet wire coming off the gauge to the signal wire on the O2 sensor. My Sy has a black and two white wires coming off the sensor. Is the black the signal...
