Re: drain plug thanks, previous owner had a single oversize (1/2-20) , I bought the truck from him with it stripped, so I might have to go double, I just doent know how much I trust these plugs, the single over size looks pretty worn on the threads. I think I have to tap it before I inatall the...

I have a stripped engine oil drain plug. does any body have any ideas on fixing it or should i buy a new pan.

Re: whats this worth? I'm in wooodland hills. The guy I bought it from lived in hawaii for a while, he originaly purchased the car in LA (fullerton). How much longer do you guys think this motor will last. He says it had synthetic in all the time, oil changes at 3k.

Re: whats this worth? Well I just came back from buying the sy. It is in very good shape, guy even gave me the original window sticker, and a list of all the recent work he had done. I only paid 5000. I think I got a smokin deal.

Re: whats this worth? he says amco built it (porbably junk) no pics yet, all the cladding is excelent, paint is ok, has had driver door damage many years ago. I could buy it for 7000.

Its a 91 sy with 185k. Guy says he has a rebuilt tranny and a whole lotta new parts, he's also the original owner.

I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas as to the huming noise i'm hearing inside the ty. I only hear it when its going into boost, not even at WOT, it seems like there is a vacume leak under the pas. side dash.
