Hey i never said i should get a trophy for this just posted cause it was my first dead stop race since i got my Ty 2 weeks ago.

The cummins launch was in 4-wheel drive in 3rd gear. Pulls hard when he took me for a ride but nothing like a Ty off the line.

I also failed to mention the part about only getting a brake stand with 3psi after pumping the brakes and still walked 3 trucks after my buddy and i went different ways i held 10psi and tore off all 4. But im getting new Rims and Tires.

New diesel trucks don't mess around with the right mods. My dad has an LB7 Duramax with intake, 4" exhaust and old school Edge Juice 90hp. It's a crew cab 4wd went mid 14s on a hot day. Good kill!

Not knocking the kill at all and like Mtn Z said it is not hard to make more power with bolt ons on a diesel. especially a newer one

Just feel bad that you let you buddy buy a dodge :D ( I work on them all day. Infact on a lighter note I just got done putting the HEADS on a 4900mi 5.7 V8 Hemi becuase the lifters for the Multi Displacement System would not re oil up)

yea the new diesels can be quick.

I have a 02 duramax that has a intake, open dump and also a PPE xcellator with a 235hp and 360lb which is a level 4 tune on it. The stock out put is 305hp and 560lb and with that tune put it in the 500hp range at the motor and almost 1000lb of torque. But the SOB wieghts almost 8k though.

Yeah, we are going to be getting the PPE xcellerator hot+2, but we will need lift pumps and most definitely a suncoast level IV trans before level 10 is happening. These things may weigh a million pounds, but they sure do rip!

I've owned a couple of diesels myself, currently have an 07 6.7 Cummins. Great trucks, lots of power potential.

No hard fealings. But i can say that i would have had no impact on his choice of vehicle. Him and his buddys are all about diesel power. I myself am GM guy only i hate Ford and dont really care for Mopar.
