IL 140 Vortec heads and valve covers

$100 plus shipping, heads and valve covers. Bought them off ebay, they were mag checked out ok. I'm in Chicagoland area.

Don't all vortec heads require a modified syty intake to work? Or are there some vortec heads that will accommodate without modification?

For some dumb reason the L35 heads have "Vortec" on the valve covers,but they bolt right up to everything.Thats where this confusion stems from. :dunno:

yeah that's why I was asking... some people call the L35's "Vortec" ...

Given the pictures show an extra bolt hole on each end above the exhaust port, I would say these are LF6 heads, aka "Vortec's" and would need some modification to work with the stock intake.

They all require a modified SyTy intake

L35's physically bolt straight on to SyTy's and share the same intake bolt pattern.
