3bar and burnt chip problems

im not sure whats going on here. i put in the custom burnd chip, and the 3 bar map, and set base fp at 50lbs. then went for a drive. the truck seemed to idle a little high, but seemed to run ok. then i tried to get into boost. the turbo spooled really slow. and i diddnt get full boost. i let off and tried again only this time. the truck spooled quikly and made a pop sound and blew a big black cloud of smoke. so i let off. so i put my 2 bar back in and pitbull chip, set fp to 42lbs and now it runs great. what is wrong? chip bad, or could my 3 bar be bad? anyone else have any ideas. i want more boost please help :banghead:

my .02, lower the fuel pressure some and try again. shouldnt need that high of base fuel pressure with the 50# injectors

i currently have a 50lb chip and my truck seems to run best with the fuel pressure set a 40. It also does leaves a black rich smoke only when i go wot. Just drop you fuel pressure. How long did you drive it like that? You might have to check the plugs.

for about 3 min tops. i was told to set the fp there by the guy that burnt it for me, also i have stock injectors. maybee he just burnt it wrong.

Your trying too many things at once.....Dont put the cart before the horse.You have a way to burn chips right? Pm me with you build and what you trying to do ...I'll see if I can't make SOUP

Are you trying to run stock injectors with a chip that requires 50# injectors? As opposed to 50#'s of fuel pressure? Just though maybe you misconstrued what he told you... <shrug>

He said no 50lb injectors but 50# of fp.

i put in the custom burnd chip, and the 3 bar map, and set base fp at 50lbs

also i have stock injectors

Leave at 42# and reinstall 3bar and chip. See if that helps any.
