I am reading through the PCS manual to install this shift controller and it says that the 4l60E has 2 connectors the 13 pin main connector which is in plain sight and the VSS connector which I do not see anywhere on the transmission.
I have two thoughts; either I do not need the VSS connector and it picks up the speed signal some other way (the transfer case has an electrical connector which looks like a speed sensor but it is too big for the VSS pigtail from the PCS controllerl) or the tailshaft is what houses the vss plug in which i am reusing my tailshaft from my 700R4. When I talked to shop they never mentioned anything about having to add or modify anything to the transmission to accommodate the vss connector, they just said I had to splice a couple wires into the ecm to get the controller to work.
I do find it odd that the transmission had an O-Ring looped on the back which fits on my tailshaft so perhaps they just forgot to attach a tailshaft before they shipped the transmission? I would call them but because it is a holiday weekend they probably will not open until Tuesday and I would like to figure out solutions sooner than later. Thanks for your input.
