Uppps I guess it's my turn now, Tyguy aka M@ here.
Kinda long - Apologies
@ Ryan - Wassup??? Only people with a dirty mind, think I'm dirty - LOL
Ok back to the facts, from history, present and future:
---------------------------------------------------------------
I may be one of the few who has seen most of the trucks outside official meetings. I remember meeting with Sean, Drew, Peter Albrecht, George, Bob G. and others, even before I moved to the US. My US vacations were planned like this - LOL.
The European Meeting:
Roland (BadTy) and me had the idea putting a European meeting together in 2001. The idea started when Roland showed up at my house during his summer vacation - Great idea Roland, I still miss the evenings sitting outside with you and your lovely wife! (NO RYAN THAT'S NOT A DIRTY HINT!!)
It was on a short notice, planned location was the NitroOlympics drag race in Hockenheim, Germany. Unfortunately it was too late to get everything straight. Instead Roland organized a small but very successful event nearby Zürich (Switzerland), where mainly Swiss guys (and girls --> Ryan GOOD ONES!!!) attended.
Driven from this success, Roland and me started again for 2002, this time with some better preparation, postings on my web-site (well known in Europe, I guess) and some advertising through guest books and web sites. EVEN GEIGER IN MUNICH POSTED THE DATES!!!
I visited Roland on a stop over for 4 hours in Zürich back in March 2002 and things got straightened out.
The gathering was a great success, not only far but very far beyond what we all expected! I wanted to join but, as some may know, I was stuck at the Black Sea in Russia. With the late arrival of one truck 44 Sy's and Ty's showed up. They came from all over Europe and my special honor goes to Willem from South Spain who put almost 2100 miles on his truck to join!
Look at the pictures and think about Europe. Check the records, how many trucks where officially sold, two????
Not because I am a bitchin' German, guys try to picture ... a person who owns a Sy or Ty over there may not even know where to get spark plugs for a reasonable price... unfortunately NO-LOL
For this years event, I was dead quiet, after I heard that they started a "tyguy collection fund" for a flight ticket. I don't cry and bitch but the last 8 months were tough, live- and money wise (some may know).
If the flight goes to Frankfurt, Germany...may I self-invite me for a ride in a Ty to Zürich or should I choose the brand new engined Sy (HELLO RYAN ARE YOU OUT THERE???).
Regarding any long distance travel, Blown (Patrick) named some options and I guess everybody will help to get information.
For my part, I will be there - I cannot miss this year again, I don't wanna die again with calls every other minute "and another one... and another one, Matt we have now 30 on the lot...you cannot believe what's going on"
I guess the cell phone provider took the red carpet for Roland out ... calling me in Russia every other minute... .
This year Drag Racing was in the plan but hard to establish due to the regulations in Europe.
In general the event is planned as a family event, more or less like the US gathering.
I can promise, there will be several awesome trucks with never seen modifications.
I cannot say much, I promised to keep my mouth shut...
Patrick (Blown) is establishing a photo shop idea at his truck, which requires major body work... .
Roland will do some wonderful modifications too (inside and out-), you'll see rims you'll never expect on a Sy Ty... .
Herbert wants to show his red Ty from Austria, one of these trucks cruising with 110 mile and zero boost (BUT IF YOU HIT IT AT THIS SPEED... PORSCHEs BEWARE)... .
The Berlin gang may bring up to 5 trucks and perhaps an awesome twin-turbo V8 Sy and more... .
There will be also an GM event in 2003, dates are unknown.
I am in contact with some C5 Corvette groups and with several Opel Lotus Omega owners.
For the US fellows, that's a Catera with a twin turbo I-6, 377 horse and freaking fast, built for GM by Lotus UK... .
I am sure that this event will rock!
My personal honors and thanks go to Roland (BadTy) and Patrick (Blown), spending countless hours. Patrick had the idea with the location and reserved it for this year again, early enough to have the right space at the right time.
Last but NOT least, Rouven doing some international advertising.
I met Rouven just 6 weeks ago in Germany.
If I would have the amount of frequent flyer's miles in US$ I would ship my Ty to Europe for this event... .
If there is any help or add. information needed contact either

Still need some pictures for "my" truck of the month pages, preferred European trucks, maybe never shown on the web.
Thanks for the patience
Matthias aka Tyguy (The weird German in this group)
RYAN, DON'T SCROLL FURTHER DOWN, THERE IS JUST MY SIG - LOL
