AZ 92 Teal/Argent

As much as this pains me, I'm officially listing this truck for sale. I have come across a business investment that I don't want to miss out on and I don't have a way to fund it without selling the Ty.

It has 32,946 miles, this will change as I will likely still drive it. I'm the second owner and have had it since August of 2014. Not a very long time, but I've put almost 6k miles on it and has never skipped a beat. I've been driving it daily. The heat and AC work well. Everything works as it should, except for the ABS light that is on. I do have a spare ABS unit, I just haven't installed it, yet.

I'm sure many of you have seen my resto thread, but I've included the link to give a little history.

It's pretty much a stock truck with only 3 mods. It has an adjustable FPR, Walbro 255 and a 2 gauge pillar pod with only a boost gauge in it. As I said earlier, I bought it in August and it needed some TLC. Now it's a nice truck. Being from the southwest it's RUST FREE and in very good shape..! I have people stop me all the time in traffic, gas stations, work, etc.

I don't have any pictures of the interior on hand, but I'll get some nice ones posted shortly.

$19,500 obo - clean title in hand

Is this your bush?
Re: 92 Teal/Argent

Have you tried cycling the abs unit....there is a way to cycle it to maybe get ride of the light due to dirty fluid or air in the fluid....I have a book on abs that has good info on our particular set up as I have cycled the unit and made the light go away. I'll do some digging to see if I can find it for you or maybe another member can share how to cycle it.

I haven't tried cycling it. I wondered if that was possible, but didn't look into it. I bet that'd solve the issue.

Re: 92 Teal/Argent

There is a wire in front of the battery that will trigger the ABS light (found this out when I pulled the battery and saw the wire disconnected. IIRC, it's the one that comes from the negative terminal.

Your truck looks freaking sweet.GLWS

I bought a Powerball and a Mega Millions ticket today so I can buy it when I win.

Kinda looks like the rims on the driver side might be on wrong (front on rear, rear on front) or it's just the angle.Pass side too.

Re: 92 Teal/Argent

Thanks guys. I absolutely love it and would never have considered selling it, but this opportunity is one that I shouldn't pass up because of what it'll help me achieve for my family. If it doesn't sell I'll miss out on the deal, but I'll still have a nice truck.

There is only like 2 like this in the world.

I'd ask at least. 25k.

And I would wait.

I love the Teal. Don't let someone low ball you on that one. That truck looks clean enough to eat off of. I would kill for mine to be that nice. Best of luck with the sale and if my lottery ticket wins before Jimmy's you will have a buyer at $25k!

Only 2 huh? I mentioned the sale to someone asking to buy mine a while back. I mentioned 19,500 or best offer. I wanted to get him a figure that he could use to arrange a no haggle sale. If you want an auction then put it up for auction, this particular person seems to think 19,500 is to high. When you say best offer IMO that means there is a lower figure that will make a sale. Phone calls won't sell the truck, a sale price will. Goodluck

I don't want this to come across as rude. I've always been irritated by the guy whose first question is "what's your bottom dollar?" Maybe I'm weird. Generally when a (especially rare) vehicle that I'm interested in pops up for sale I'm going to at the very least call about it. Even if it is priced above what I want to spend.

He knows my asking price, we just don't know where he stands. I'm confused how a phone call won't sell my truck, it could easily bridge the communication gap here.

I'm reasonably negotiable, but I'm not going to let it go for 16k. Maybe that'll give you/him a ballpark.

I appreciate your help in trying to sell the truck.

Re: 92 Teal/Argent

I might consider a cheap, running project Sy/Ty as partial trade.. I will need a new daily if this sells.

I will relay the 16k as a possible lowest price. Reason I say a phone call will not sell the truck, the interested buyer must have a sale price before arranging travel to view/pick-up the truck. That's the way I would do it and many others do, unless you got 19,500 at your dispossel. This particular buyer thinks it's high, I do as well. So before making an effort to go look with intentions to buy, a sale price must be agreed between both parties. You know what you will sell it for and that's it, no phone conversation needed. Also, I'd put some pics up of the interior and engine. And maybe a follow up to the oil leak. Thanks for your response, I will forward the info
