I'll post the VIN when I get home....$8500 for anyone here, I have it listed @ $9k. 71,000 miles.
-Here's my trucks story. I bought 2 years ago(ish) from a good friend who owns a custom autobody/mechanical shop. He bought this truck and another Ty together about a yr. prior, both in various forms of disarray. The other Ty was rusty and he sold, kept this one and was piecing together. I bought it after he had gone through fixing dents/dings/repainting it white with ALL cladding and ALL glass removed. New PPG windshield/moulding & clear blazer quarter glass w/ NEW OE moldings. - Truck was Red/Red originally, had also been painted candy blue w/ all glass out as well. It was white/white when he bought it and resprayed the same.
-Engine started knocking 600 miles after I bought it. We pulled the motor, went .030" SRP, Eagle. The machine shop that did the work turned out to be crap (sh!tty referral) and 3 rod bearings went due to end caps being on wrong rods, etc..
-Heads were already p&p'd, same with upper/lower intake manifold, so not sure of its previous history, but someone had it apart.
-Fast forward 6 months, block back at an ASE master machinest w/ known build success. It pays to research...most expensive f'n mistake EVER.
-Another set of SRP's, Eagle h-beams were saved, new OE steel crank, Comp cam, springs, retainers, all new OE valves, oil pump/pickup/waterpump/alternator/idler pulley all new.
-Rotating assembly balanced, new timing set.
-A2A I/C already installed when purchased, all new piping made, engine bay cleanup, aluminum catch can, dual 12" electric fans (thermistor controlled), intake manifold polished, etc, etc
-Trans was rebuilt on initial purchase from the owner i bought it from. I'm not sure if it has the right springs in it, as it shifts around 4k rpm @ WOT. Shifts are very firm, external trans cooler on core support w/ AN hoses/fittings
-Rotating assembly balanced, new timing set. The turbo had metal/oil go thru and took that down also
This is where the cheaper turbo comes in, it was a t3/t4 "50 trim" that was something my buddy's shop stocked for their honda builds...I didn't have the $ to go the high end route and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to run into other engine related problems. It has just over 2000 miles on the engine, turbo is fine and has done well thus far.
-All 4 ball joints/idler/tie rods all new. OE gearbox (little sloppy), Cherokee shaft. New cheap monroe's (OE rear air pump/acuator comes w/ truck)
-ABS deleted. (Working pump w/ truck)
-I'm very meticulous with things and this truck has been no exception (I won't ever forgive myself for jumping in blind to the first engine job). In the past 6 months I've gone back to school (bachelors baby!), started a new job and moved, I no longer have the time and resources to continue bringing this truck back to life. I've had most every panel out of the interior, refitted and allocated all missing seat/interior trim. The truck is solid. Based on the carfax I ran when i bought it, its changed hands 7 or so times...I have cleaned up the mess from previous owners as best I can!
-The "BAD"
-No radio/speakers. Never there since I bought it.
-Window drip rails/belt trim worn (20 yr old rubber)
-Leaves quarter sized oil spots on ground near bellhousing, I haven't looked into it. This is after its driven for 50+ miles. ALL seals are new w/ build (incl. rear main). I just don't have time anymore. Someone with a solid weekend can fix all these issues.
-No male ends on front seatbelts (truck had NO belts, i've put rear belts in & receiving ends for front belts in (by console)
I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting, as I'm in class right now, gotta try to pay attention! I will respond to anyone's questions asap.
