A few Q's

Hey guys I got a few questions for ya's.
1. My fuel gauge won't work right away. If I drive for about 15 min it will start to show the fuel level. When the truck is started it will stay stuck on the full mark. Any ideas? Everthing is stock.
2. I just replaced the vacum lines and if I installed a check valve backwards will it screw shit up? I ask cause since the install I keep getting the EGR code 32. Are the check valves nessacary or can they be removed?
3. Looking to get new wires and I'm wondering are the MSD and Taylor sets all pre-cut or do I have to cut-n-crimp?
4. I'd like to do a fuel pressure gauge but what is involved to install a mechanical or electric set-up.
5. Is an AFPR an easy install?

Yes they are necessary. The check valve are place so that they keep boost out vacuum operated devices, such as the cruise & heater controls. You can tell how they work by blowing in one end, in one direction they will flow one they will not. Start with the vacuum source in the intake manifold or TB work you way back, make sure that when you blow (boost condition) on the check valve, it will not pass air through.

installing a check valve backwards will result in you keeping boost (not allowing vacuum) into the device it controls.

This is not only incorrect, but I imagine it could cause damage to the devices the vacuum lines control. I dont know this for sure, but I dont imagine these things were designed to always be pressurized.

Taylors are precut, pick the right lenght, and install.

fpgauge is strait forward, electrical or mechanical, remove the schrader valve from the fuel rail check port, and screw on the needed adapter/sender/gauge. the electrics will require some additional wiring.

I cant quote an easy installation factor on the afpr, but I do not believe it is difficult. Mine went in in under 30 minutes, but I wasnt turning wrenches at the time.
