A2A Intercooler users

How much space is needed to fit a front mount including piping? Did any of you who have A2A have to cut into the bumper for proper fitting? I did a search and it seems as though the Walbro 255 is still the common remedy for handling the fueling needs of this kind of upgrade...?

That depends on the size of I/C core you use....Do you plan to keep A/C?

You shouldn't have to cut into your bumper but I think I remember the TT sbc syclone having a modded bumper for the I/C....

A frontmount shouldn't require more fueling but a Walbro 255 upgrade is always a good idea over the stock fuel pump...

I was going to go with a front mount, but the thicker cores won't fit easily with the A/C intact. If you could ditch the A/C, it would leave quite a bit of room, and that's why I ended up going with the RPM setup, but I'm sure Brett (Metal Man) would be able to come up with something as well for around the same price.

Here's the mounting location:

Oh, and you may also want to look into doing something like an alcohol injection setup. It is by far the best cheap ($200) upgrade I have done yet.

Who sells the injection kit? I checked turbotime.us but couldn't find anything...

The really nice kit is a bit spendy but worth it from what I hear

http://www.alkycontrol.com

If you want, I have made my own, and helped another board member build a kit from scratch and it ran him about $200. While not as nice as the progressive kit in that link above, it does certainly do the job.

My personal best is 26.1 pounds of boost on 91 octane with 0 knock retard.

My personal best for intake temps was 58 degrees.

Good God....is that with the stock heads? I could never get rid of KR completely, even with the SMC kit. Now I'm using the Razor progressive system, but truck isn't running yet. My truck was an animal on 20psi, I can't imagine what 26psi must feel like

Yes, 130k mile stock motor, stock turbo. Anything past 22psi didn't really make any difference..
