So coming out of the movie theatre I noticed a few guys and their girlfriends drooling over the Ty. When I walk up, the ask me the usual questions about the Ty and comment on it being very nice. I end up telling them the details and my date is looking kid of confused why I have a crowd of people asking about this little black dog-hauling Blazer. I give her the run down (which I generally don't do when meeting women to avoid gold diggers!) and she's got a smile. Anyway, my date and I head out, and of course, they follow us out of the lot.
We get out to the street which is very empty and very wide and they come along side me in a nice little VR6 and roll down the window, asking to see what it can do. Well, since I am on like the second date with a girl I wave them off. Then I ask the date what she thinks of fast cars and she thinks it's fine. I tell them if the light ahead goes red I'll take them off the line. And, coincidentally it goes red. However, the side light goes from green to red pretty quick so I barely have time to pull to the line and build any boost.
Anyway, the GOOD PART:
The light goes green and the VR6 takes off.
They get about one car length and I have built maybe 3-5 pounds of boost and I launch it
I fly by the VR6 before they're done getting across the intersection.
I take it up to about 50 (45 MPH zone) and let off.
My date says "Where'd they go?" to which I reply "I dunno, somewhere back there."
About 3-5 seconds later they catch up, all smiling and waving.
Anyway, it was nice to tromp a little VW, everyone had a good time. And, the date ended up very nice as well.
