Aftermarket headlamps, split from funky ty wheels

Hey, thanks for the extra pics...anyone know what kind of headlights those are? I've seen a few Sy/Ty trucks with those clear headlights, are they any brighter than the Sylvania's? I wouldn't paint my truck that way, but it is an amazing paint-job, regardless of what you think of it. Nice to see something different, kinda like that steel blue Syclone.

I donno about Sylvania's but mine is RAYBRIG, when I change it I also converted it to HID so I couldn't compare both in same condition. (halogen)

I converted my headlights to the Bosch H4 conversions and added Silverstar H4's. No doubt one of the better mods that I did and night driving was drastically improved. Search eBay for 'Supra H4 conversion' and you'll likely find some headlights for an MKIII Supra which will bolt right in. Order up some Silverstar H4's and you'll be pleased. Total cost will be well under $100 and a very good mod for the buck.

Hideaki - where did you get those Raybrid housings from, and do you have a part number? I've been looking around the web and ebay and these things are like apples and oranges...I really like the look of the lenses you have, would like to buy the same. I'm not planning on doing any kind of HID upgrade, I just want the crystal headlamp look. Let me know, thanks.

Won't the Sylvania Silverstar H4 bulbs melt the stock harnesses, I was reading something about that?

Nope. It's when you jump up in wattage that you need to worry about the factory harnesses.

I had to cut the housing to get more clearance for the HID burner.
Actually I paid about $70 per light, and there is blue clear one insted of all clear. If you really want, I can buy and send them to you no problem. pls let me know.

So which Sylvania part# should I order for the H4 bulbs? I don't want to pick the wrong one and overload the harness.

Yeah, I saw the blue ones, but I'm going to go with the clears. I appreciate the offer to help, I will let you know if I have any trouble getting those Raybrigs. I noticed some of the other crystal headlights out there have that center piece suspended over the H4 bulb, presumably to not blind oncoming drivers? I actually prefer the look of the Raybrigs without that round piece in there.

i have a set of h4 headlights on my 92 4dr blazer.you need to run relays on your headlight wires. one for low beam and one for high beam. it will make the headlights twice as bright. i am also running higher watt bulbs(forgot the watt's). what happens is the relays will give true 12 volts to your lights. which i think also puts less stress on the plug for it. i have been running it this way for well over 4 months. and the plugs are fine

To do just the H4 conversion you will have to do no further modifications. The factory harness will even plug right to the back of the H4 bulb.

I would highly recommend spending the extra $50 or so to get the Bosch. They are considered higher quality and there's a large difference between the cheap ones and the high end conversion kits when it comes to light reflection, pattern, durability and overall performance when it comes.
