 Hi guys, got my motor all together and installed(hope never to have to do that again) and the only real hang up I am having is, I have air in my ic system. Does anybody have a trick to bleeding the air from the system? I did search the form but didnt have much luck and or not enough patience..... I have some pics of my rebuild but I am not computer savy enough to get them on here for all you to see. Thanks to all.

Re: Air in intercooler

Well, my Ty has an air to air but..... My 04 Impala SS I put a 3" liquid to air IC under the blower and that was a problem until.....

Put a filler T adaptor on both sides of the IC. Feed and return. I used the kit from a antifreeze flush kit. Then, on the capped off T, open both and attach a 8" or so piece of tube going straight up above everything else left open to the atmosphere. You can fill the tubes up with water or whatever your preferred mix. I use about 50 / 50. And the air bubbles will just work their way to the top. Then remove the straight up tubes and cap off.

Re: Air in intercooler

Short verison as you most likely have water in it.

5. Remove charge air cooler pump relay.
6. Turn ignition key "ON"
7. Position a jumper wire between the A and B terminals to run charge air cooler pump.
8. Add coolant mixture to the system while the pump is running, until full.
9. Install charge air cooler pressure cap, turn ignition off.
10.Remove jumper wire, install charge air cooler pump relay.
