Re: ALL Please read, new piston possibility.
i had the j&e race pistons and think they are a very good and high quality piston. i would suggest that you try to get the better ones instead of the srp. they're worth it. some advantages to them for guys who haven't had j&e before is they are strong, much more resistant to detonation, balance well, and are lighter than pistons like trw. they may be a little louder when you first start up and they're cold but that goes away quick.
this sounds like a good deal if you can get a piston designed just for the 4.3 motor. will you only be able to get them in one size or will they make different ones for people who need a little bigger size according to having a different bore. my stokes had j&e, so does my built small block have the srp's, and i just bought a spare set for my small block that a friend installed in his and never put any miles on them because he decided to go with a twin turbo application and these were nitrous pistons and that's the route i'm going. they're all coated and everything and i got them at a good price. also they are attached to the right length oliver rods so that didn't hurt the deal any either. i heartedly endorse J&E. they are high quality and high performance. now they'll be even better cause you're gonna get a piston specifically designed for the syty motor. and you'll save money to boot. what a deal

any one who runs their ride hard should maybe invest in a set planning for the next motor build. see if eric rue would be intnerested. he seems to be churnin out a few motors and these sound perfect for him
