Altering Ride Height- a Syty NO NO?

Kind of curious if anyone has actually INCREASED ride height, maybe "hop up" a syty, without dangerously altering the ride characteristics/stability of the syty. I am asking about this, because its' clear that sytys were never designed to either go off pavement, or carry cargo. It's hard for me to fathom buying one, knowing that it looks like an SUV, but is impotent when it comes to the rare instance where you need some truck qualities.

The front end was designed to be lowered as the stock Syty are so some lifting would save the lower ball joints, but its going to look really gay with short perfomance tires and a lifted body. A corvette, camaro, or any other sporty vehicle look stupid lifted..

Dude, will you go buy a Jeep already and leave the Tys for people who will actually NOT fuck them up?

If driving a vehicle around where you live is so bad that you have to prepare yourself to hop curbs and go off roading in your daily commute, TAKE THE FUCKIN BUS!!

Lol. I should've seen that coming, maybe I should of waited... I agree, my suv desires call for a jeep, but the syty is worth adjusting my habits. It will be tough, to not get tempted to pull off a truck feat when in a syty. I realize now it's not possible, sadly. I just want a tough, versatile ute, with the acceleration of the syty. I do wonder about the ride height, but clearly, it would look gay to change it. It's better to look good in my book.

And relax, my typhoon would be pampered, so don't think I'm going to mess up a rare collectible. I am a nut about keeping cars clean and perfect.(I just have this nagging desire for a ute in which I can do what I don't allow myself to do in my current vehicle.)

it would be best to just buy a s10 blazer 4x4, lift it up and add horsepower via a v8. That gives you the same body style and i am sure you could find a v8 making way more than 285 horsepower and you would save money, but that is JMO

Actually, the Syty would work much better raised up as the current geometry is setup for normal S-15 ride heights. It obviously looks gay as hell lifted, but if its your thing, do it...

I took my Ty off roading ONCE and that aint happening agian. Of course, off roading for the Ty means creeping across a grass field at 3mph to the "back 40" of my friends 1000 acre ranch for a kegger. The Ty didn't like the bumps :)
