Anyone use caltracs with flexaforms?

you almost have to use caltracs with felxoforms...bc if you don't...and you have any power at all you will break them....

Well..... My syclone runs 11.70's with flexaforms and I have not broke them yet. 3 years and counting. I was thinking the caltracs put more stress on the flexaforms.

I heard that the caltracks would cause the flexaforms to delamanate. But I cant back that up.

I have flex-o-forms with no caltracks. No problem so far but I have not had many full launches with them. I do like the improvement in ride quality and the weight savings. I think proper installation is key to the successful use of flex-o-forms.

I had them for a year or so, I coverd the bolt that contacts the spring, ran consistant low 1.7's.

BTW Peter H. has cals and flexers on his sy and BG ran em on his 11.0 sy

I have a flex forms and cal tracs on my Ty. I haven't yet to test it out on the track. gotta get some BFG drag radials :lol:

The Hoovers truck had Cal Tracs Flex a Forms the two years I saw it at KC...

10.69... best 60 foot.....

I have a set of caltrracs and flex o forms. Had them on for about three months last year (like new). They were a nice improvement over the stock setup. I wasn't planning on changing to anything else, but when Dustan had my ty to set up the Wilwood Break kit I had him do the front and rear coil overs.

I would be interested in selling the cals and flexs as a set.

Yep i had both on there, but I don't think I made that many passes in that configuration.

Hoover has had both on there for a *while* now I believe, but they also don't drive their truck much.

Inconclusive results. I do think that a Sy doesn't stress them nearly as much as a Ty would. At your level, I'd hold off on the cal tracs, maybe just do the Flex a forms. I think they really help if you are hooking BIG time. Look what Tony has done on stock suspension. I think it's more about the power application and actual traction (tires).

Brian, I already have the flexaforms but I get a fair amount to wheel spin. I was thinking either caltracs or drag radials. I only launch with 5-7 lbs of boost. My 60 foot times are 1.69- 1.76.
