ATR intercooler install which support rod do you use?

I did a search for installation instruction for the ATR big intercooler .
Only ATR intercoolers for sale and the ATR aux front mount came up.

How do you mount the upper ATR intercooler?

I removed the front support rod. The Ty was missing the middle one.
When I rotated the back one low enough it moved the intercooler to far forward.
The front one will interfere with the oil dip stick if I try to rotate it back.

Which support rod is used?

Did the intercooler come with its own support rod?

Thanks

I know there is an L shaped bracket that bolts it to the back of one of the ac compressor bolts

The longer rod is what you need. Just get a piece of metal strap and drill it......the front bottom inside corner is the important mount. If you have done the ac delete or your truck came with the ac delete the front corner mounts to the little "L" looking tab left over from the ac compressor mount, but can also be done with a small drilled and bent piece of metal strap if it is no longer on the engine.

This is the way mine looked before I went with an a2a set up! You can see how the front corner mounts.

I will have to make the L shaped bracket.

How did you support the bottom?

did the intercooler orginally come with a different support rod?

Thanks

Yes....I believe it did. Let me find my old catalog from ATR.....maybe it's listed with the cooler.

I would just install the cooler(clamp on to intake) and then measure from cooler mount tab on bottom down to the center exhaust manifold bolt......then cut & drill a piece of strap to fit.
