Big thanks to Zsolt Vegso!

Robert Lone

MUTANT
I posted in the WTB section for a used Gilbert a few weeks ago. A few hours later I got an e-mail from some cat by the name of Zsolt Vegso. (WTF?) Says he has a NEW one that he never used for $300 shipped (military discount;)). I asked a few old geezers on here about him and they hadn't heard of him either. I was concerned about "scam-happy-lurkers" reading ppl's needs and ripping us off.

However, next thing I know the propshaft was sitting at my house. I hadn't even paid him at that point, I had just agreed to the price. I was shocked :shocked!: to say the least.

I guess there are still some good guys out there...

Thanks Zsolt!

Falco is "Zsolt Szokol". That may be a common name over there. Kinda like "John" here in the US. :)

I have known Zsolt for 4 years now. He is a top notch guy and is more of a lurker on the BB. One day he might even share some specs on his Syclone.

A-HA!

I was still half asleep.

According to sportmachines, Zsolt is in Indiana with Sy 1997

Re: Big thanks to Zsolt Vegso!

Thank you for the good review concerning the prop shaft. I'm sure you will be very happy with it.. As for my truck, I have owned it since 1994, been through a few engines trans other breakables. But it is running better than ever now, big thanks to some custom tuning from Nolan.. Last time at the track (it's been awhile) it ran 11.00 at 127.1 with 1.67 sixty with about 19 psi. Hoping to hit 10's this year.

Zsolt......... I think I bought a turbo off you that you had for sale on the "list" back in 99 or 2000...

Good to hear from you again. Where are you located?

Re: Big thanks to Zsolt Vegso!

No I guess I'm not Falco, we just share the same first name. I was born in Hungary and lived there until I was 14.

Maxtor/Mark, If I recall right you purchased a 20g. I hope it worked out for you. It's been awhile. I live in Culver, about 35mi south of South Bend. I used to go to Terre Haute to VP midwest, but there is a closer distributor now.

Re: Big thanks to Zsolt Vegso!

The 20g was a great turbo, I had a lot of fun with it on one of my previous Sy's. If you are ever down this way again drop me a line, I would like to hear what you have done to your truck and I would be happy to give you a ride in mine. Sounds like you are running some really good times.

Take care.

Re: Big thanks to Zsolt Vegso!

Thanks Mark. I will definately look you up if I'm down that way. I'd be stupid to pass up a ride in that thing. But to be honest, 11.0 is pretty close to scaring the crap out of me. If you come North on US 31, let me know and I will meet you somewhere.
