Cruising home this afternoon I came up to a bunch of traffic at a light. 4 lanes of it. Ugh. Funny, though, that there are like 20 cars in the left lane, then 15 in the next, 5 in the 3rd, and only one on the far right. Well, it's some black number, and is sitting kinda odd, so I figured he pulled to the lane at the last moment, and is gonna floor it when the light goes green to get in front of everyone - just as I would. As I approach, cars turning left trickle off and the light goes green and - yup - he floors it. Turns out it's a SVT Cobra convertible. Very shiny, very clean, and as he races off I am right on his ass.
We get about one block and - lo and behold - the light changes red. So I roll up next to him, but he won't look over at me. I *know* he saw me on his ass though. I figure I'll just see how he goes when the light turns and take it from there.
Light finally changes and he, sure enough, floors it. No boost from me, but I floor it and get a half-length on him right away and keep it. We get to about 60 and he never gains an inch. And this without boosting first!
Man, that supercharger sounds great, especially when it's just behind my passenger window that was rolled down. He then slowed down and was looking at the truck, but would not get next to me.
Too ashamed that he got beat by an S-15! lol!
