Been eyeing this up....haven't pulled the trigger but does anyone here have and pros and cons of doing the front and rear brake hoses with a Russell kit or any others? Any input will be useful!

Thanks Aaron

i have them on my trucks where i put bigger brakes on. they look nice, and some might say that in racing you get a directer feel because the lines not becoming bigger when pressure is applied, altough i dont think you will feel any difference.

if you arent upgrading the brakes and have to pay for these just to upgrade the lines instead of replacing broken lines, i wouldnt spent money on those,

Re: Braided brake hoses

only way to go if you want to have more holding power building boost on the line. firmer pedal also. You can thave to much braking!

If figured that having a firmer pedal was gonna happen but I've read that they can leak. Just wanna hear people's opinions on them if they have them or would recommend them.

I used Kore3 for the rears since I converted to ls1 rear. I talked with a rep at kore3 and we settled on using their already made 98-02 Camaro kit. Fit great. Fronts I'm using renzfab kit

I have them, I would recommend them. Did mine when I changed over to LS1 brakes. Came in the kit Renz sent me.

Re: Braided brake hoses

I have used the braided stainless in 4x4 trucks and recently put them on the Ty when I went through the suspension. I also went with replacement EBC "Red Stuff" pads and generic Summit Racing drilled/slotted rotors at the same time. Braking was night and day different. I am not sure how this compares to camaro, etc.. brake conversion, but for the price it was all bolt on and effective. If your flex hoses are OE and need replacement I see no reason not to spend the extra couple bucks and change to braided stainless, NO down sides.

It's one of the first mods I do to my cars. No downside except a little more $. Your pedal will feel better. It is a noticeable difference.
