Cap on conley uper ic

I did a search and didn't find much on the conley upper ic I have. It was on my ty when I bought it and ever since I installed my new shurflo pump it having a hard staying full of coolant. Everytime I fill it a lot of it ends up back in the overflow bottle causing air to get in my lines (I have clear lines so the air is visible). Can I jus cap off the ic and not run the line to the overflow. I have the kenne bell overflow bottle that came with the kb cai kit wich has the ic overflow line td in with the radiator line both going back into the overflow botlle. Open to any other sugestions on a fix or if jus capping it off is possible.

I have a atr upper intercooler that has always been capped off. I have seen lots of stock ones that the overflow for the upper intercooler is just plugged off.

I'm going to cap it off in the morning when I get home. Thanks for the input I feel beeter doing it knowing its been done before.

Conley's used an atr intercooler. I had bad luck with mine. Coolant constantly bubbled out around the fill plug even after trying a few different plugs.

I ended up switchong back to a stock intercooler.

My ATR unit never boiled over.....with stock pump and with the sureflo pump. Waller units I think were just capped off without an overflow......maybe pm him.

I capped it off when I got home this morning and got the air back out the system. Havnt drove it since. Hope problem is fixed thanks for all the input will post update after driving it for awile.

Mine has a blue annodized cap that has a oring.

Anyone know what size cap and thread size the conley and atr caps are.

I cannot fit an 11/16 wrench over the threads but I can fit a 3/4" wrench nicely over the threads of the cap so I am going to say it is 3/4" with 16 threads per inch. I measured the threads with a thread pitch gauge. You probably cannot see it from the crappy pics my camera took of it but it says AN and then 814 under it on the side of the cap. I am going to post this info on your thread to help someone else in the future also. Feel free to add the crappy pics if you want. Hope this helps.

if anyone else in the future is wondering I orderd a 8 an earls blue anodized plug with o ring as suggested by kbowman from summit.com . it was about 4 bucks + s/h. Received it today and it fits perfect. Thanks for your guy's help.
