The truck looks the same now as it did then just more miles on it. Might even look a little better with the cleaning and waxing.

My standards are a bit high but I know all too well the associated costs to get a cheaper priced vehicle up to par again. Don't want to hinder a sale so I will keep my opinion(s) to myself but that truck is going to require some TLC since it has not been adequately maintained and protected from the elements, even though it looks ok in the pics. May have existed prior to Dougs ownership so I am not blaming him at all. I must say, of the sellers I have been around, he is one of the most open and honest ones I have conversed with :tup:.

I know it isn't aperfect truck thats why it has a low price. For a driver I don't think it needs much if anything. I have tried to give all the info I can on the truck. I don't want someone to come a long ways and not be happy with what they see. I know I wouldn't want it to happen to me and I don't intend to do someone else that way. If there is any ? ask I'll tell you what i know.

Doug87gn in all seriousness i will be happy to buy the truck off you. I'm trying to get rid of this 96 f250 first (need the money to buy the sy). When that happens i'm all over it.

Yeah you have impeccable taste when inspecting a vehicle in person.

I totally agree on the fixing up =$ part,but I see this truck in a different perspective than you.

See IMO this is a DRIVER.

Shine it up and drive it. It already has 100k so what else are ya gonna do with it realistically?

Drive it and enjoy it.

I hear ya Bro and I told you what I would lay out in cash for it on the drive back to his house but he will not negotiate. I was willing to even take it with the broken propshaft since I have a HD one here :tup: There are other Sy's with brand new paint jobs, new tires and less miles for $10,000 so which one would you buy. Shucks, a 18,xxx mile Sy with built motor and new tires recently sold for $11,500. If he would take $6000 cash, it would be in Clarksville within 2 days of his notification. For $7000, someone else can have it. Guess to be fair to all, I am a tight-wad too but I take into consideration brakes, tires, front end rebuild, tonneau cover, dent repairs, possible battery since it was on a rapid charger, tune-up....it all adds up :).

Doug87GN hang in there, you'll get what your asking. I sold my TY for asking price 11,500, after weeding past the 6k low ball offers. I respect Jimmy and T- bones opinions but stay the course it only takes one buyer.

I want this truck. If anyone can find somebody to buy a 96 f250 std cab, 8' bed, 7.3L diesel, dual tanks, trailering package, trans cooler 96k miles for $7500 it will be gone.

I know somebody will want it just a matter of time. The good thing is I don't need to sell I would just like some room in the garage. As for the fixing up, I guess it depends on what your looking for, and yes with 101k things will where out. As for the battery when I talked to Jimmy about looking at it he wanted a cold truck. It had sat for aout 2 mo. it doesn't get much colder than that. I could have went out and started and run the day before but again I have nothing to hide. The truck fired up wiht no cranking and no missing. Since they looked at it it has been started once last week and no battery charger. Again I realize not a perfect truck and uderstand what T-BONE is saying, but you can go out fire it up and drive and enjoy.

I dont know if its been asked but is there any rust? i know its a 100k truck and im not worried about rust on the frame and control arms, but body and sheat metal.

And 7K sound like one good deal.
would it make the trip all the way back to MI.I would never dirve it back because of the salt on the roads. but really after if its good for long trips.
