New from Michelin, Can it be???? Looks to weird for me. I want to know how would you add armorall to make it shine, HAHAHAH

These tires are made in South Carolina , USA .

SEE THROUGH TIRES
Radical new tire design by Michelin.
The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be outon the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these.
Just think of the impact on existing technology:
A. no more air valves...
B. no more air compressors at gas stations...
C. no more repair kits...
D. no more flats...
These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin

The may catch on but I dont see them completely replacing the tire especially on pickups bigger than 1/2 ton but who knows

Re: Check out these tires

I would think they would not corner well, they would collapse on the side. Maybe they have thought of ways around it.

Definately old, and I hate the way they look with wheels ... I bet they will be mainstream sooner than later though ---

Re: Check out these tires

I wouldnt be surprised of in these pictures just to show the contruction, but they can simply make a sidewall so it covers all that. It would be interesting for sure to see how they would perform!

I never even thought of that ... if they added a sidewall I am sure more people would be interested :) ---
