Chip, 3 bar map sensor???

Ok, Im new to this computer controled vehicles universe. I recently bought a 3 bar map sensor from GM but now i've realized that i also need a chip! Hell i even thought it was the same thing.
What kind of chip should i go for to get at least some 20 lbs of boost, whats FAST, motech and all those brands i often read about?
Any help will be greatly apreeciated, thanks.

Yes you need a 3 bar chip now. You can have one burned or just buy one that is already done. Look in the Classifieds section

Search some more, FAST is a fuel air management system for lots of cars, I dont think you will need to go that far yet.

The only chip that you can buy that will run a 3 bar is the Ultimate chip. Do a search on that and you will see that it's really the best option. Pretty much everyone who is running a 3 bar is either using the Ultimate or running a custom burnt chip. Here's a link to get ya started on the Ult

I am being totally honest with you. You have a lot of reading to do before you change the chip and get anywhere close to 20 lbs. of boost. You need to have a decent understanding of how the systems work on SyTys. You also need to have some understanding of tuning.

And most important you need a datalogger like Datamaster and learn what you should be looking for.

Wanting instant gratification by turning up the boost with no understanding of what you are doing will almost always result in broken parts.

Go to the tuning section and read away. The P4 document is required reading as well. All in the tuning section

But some how i need to start gathering the right parts for the mod i want to do, so far i know i need a 3 bar sensor, a 3 bar ultimate chip, a bigger fuel pump, and and a lot of reading like you said. Dont think im just instantly goin to hook the chip up and boost the hell out of it, i just need to know what are the right parts to buy. If any one knows the e mail for STG Racing so i can get an ultimate chip i would greatly apreeciate it.

Also would a holley elect' blue pump work for me?, whould a 7th injector work for the fueling needs, instead of just gettin bigger injectors and havin to make all that tunnin again?

Not familiar with that one. This pump is proven until you get crazy with the build. FPG003 available at http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/

Stock injectors have taken trucks into the 11's on a 20G and easily into the 12's on the stocker. 12's are possible with a Ultimate and stock injectors.

I was goin to buy a STG Ultimate for 200 but the deal got messed up with the payment, wich totally sucks :cry: but now im goin to start lookin up for another one. Whats up with yours being for 50lbs injectors? Aint those too big? I think I dont wanna have to buy big injectors yet 'till i know some more bout tunnin but thanks anyways.

Hey Falco thanks for your advice but i do know thats what i need to buy before anything else and I'm very sorry I also have the same avatar as you do but I got mine from a gallery some where else so Im really not sorry about it but i'll be kool and try to get me something else, ok? :fadein:

my ultimate for 50 lb was purchased because i was going to upgrade the turbo and converter but i lost my job and wasnt able to go through with it.

I would buy it from you if mine was a lil moded already but im in mexico and I think im just goin to do the basic chip and some fuel syst' upgrades and may be some NOS later, I just dont have the ways to get good tunin experts and sofware to go all the way.

you could always get the chip reflashed by race proven motors and you'd be ok. just a thought...i was going to but im selling my ty so it wouldnt do me any good.
