Re: chip burning?

first off, a bin file is the file that holds all the data for the truck, by buring a chip you put the data into the chip, A popular option is a romulator, or emulator, this allows you to instead of buring a chip, load the bin file into a programmer, this then acts as a chip and can be loaded while driving the truck and as many times as you want, very good for tuning and such. some things you would need:

romulator/emulator, chip adapter(g1), tunercats or tunerpro(program for loading files and changing data tables), laptop
all of these but the laptop can be found at moates.net

one more thing is a wideband, without a wide band tuning is a crap shoot at times

since your new to tuning post up your combo and someone may have a bin file aleady suited for your truck, then all is needed is a little tweaking to get it just right.

this has been covered before so search a bit more.

Re: chip burning?

I have #2073 it has a STG chip, and on the dyno it dumps fuel at low rpm's. I really like the quick adjustment part. How do I go about changing the chip so it doesn't blow chunks?
