The way I see it, power is nothing without control. Tire smoke looks cool, but it won't get you down the track any faster (unless its to heat up DR's during staging) or win you a street race. Granted, once traction is gained raw power takes over, but by that time it may be too late. With this being said, I'd still take a big-block Chevelle tire-burner over an AWD Subaru rice-burner:lol:

Im a huge fan of the terminator cobras especially since i've seen em run in the 11's with a pms, pully and dr's consistently.. If I wasn't in the computer field and could afford the crazy insurance cost of owning a cobra in nj then i'd have one

Yea you got that right.. I've owned two mustangs with plenty of goodies and boost.. I have a good friend that owns a ford performance shop and know a few others.. I'm also looking forward to picking up another real soon but can't afford a 03-04 cobra and the insurance that jersey bends you over with which is pretty insane.

yeah i want a notch back five-o mustang, been wanting one for a long time. i have a 302 at my dads house. its sitting in a t-bird in his backyard right now, but hopefully i will find a 4 banger notch back for dirt cheap to transplant it into. it will probably be a trailer car though.Boostedpimp said:

Brings back memories...I had an '87 notchback ex-Highway Patrol car when I was 19. Modded the heck out of it and it was pretty damn fast. My buddy at the time had a GT with a Vortech and that was a fast car. After three seized oil pumps, I decided to get rid of my 5.0 and haven't owned a Ford since.

my roush was scary fast. 60-120 in a blink. I was had some work done and it was around 420 to the rear wheels and 400lbs give or take. low end it would just spin tires for days. I spun it 2 times around the corners and when my 3rd kid came it was no longer a good DD.
As far as street races goes is SF...tell me more? BTW Jeremy's Sy is fast. I would say high 11's on the street.

Nice yeah notch's are in demand man so there hard to come by in good shape regardless of 4 or 8 powerplant. I've owned a 90 lx and a 91 gt.. the 90lx I got when I was 19 and had for about seven years and bolted everything to it possible outside of a new motor.. damn those cars were fun. here's the only pic i have of the engine bay now http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/boostedpimp/previous cars/9am_3.jpg?t=1164433473
Only problems I ever had with either mustang was always the shitty borg warner T5's... tremec fixed that issue after four T5's in the 90

Yeah they do sell quick and thanks for the offer and will let you know when the time is right.
I wouldn't mind a four-eye but the 85 302's blow. Im sticking with the aero nose 87-93 style unless a good deal on a four-eye pops up which are common around here.

Hey there guys! Long time since I visited this site. I was just bored and thought I would stop by. I used to visit this site religously, about 3 years ago. The syclone was my first dream car, and will probably always be. I still dream of owning one some day. That said....... I have moved on to an 03 cobra. 2.76 pully, cold air, some exhaust..... and wala 470hp/488tq. It really is a nasty car, very traction limited. During X-mas the car will be getting 315 drag radials I live in the bay area, and I would love to meet up with the SyTy's that cant get any races. I KNOW how you syclones roll, so I wouldnt dream of winning a race from a dig. Ive never driven a Syclone(makes me sad), but I had a subaru and I know what AWD can do. This thread just made me laugh, and I had to say whats up. You syclone guys rule.

I've noticed terminators seem are becoming the new supras. There are a lot of dyno queens out there; cars that can't hook and will only race from a roll if they race at all. Just an observation; they are still badass cars with tons of potential.

where in the bay do you live? I raced a few guys with cobras. My friend has one lives in Milpitas. I had a roush stage 3 and used to kill cobras all the time. My sy stock would keep up with a stock 03 cobra till about 60mph then they would pull away. Now...I am not sure. looks like you will have 50+ more HP then me but with AWD it should be a fun race. Jeremy (mrweeler) has a fast SY. Has to be mid-high 11's on the street. we both live in the south bay. Maybe we should get together when the weather clears up.
