We just installed a coil over conversion from Sport Machines on a customer's Phoon, very nice components! Dropped it off for an alignment this morning, I must say that wishy washy, lift and dive suspension feel is completely gone. Very nice, can't wait to drive it when its aligned! Thanks to Tom for offering a nice kit.:tup:

He needs to offer a stiffer spring with his setup. Mine is still bouncy, not as bad as stock, but still bouncy.

I found the same thing. However I am still running with the stack arms for now. I have a set of 700 lbs ones I'm going to try as per a recommondation from another SYTY guy. Problem was they compressed too much. for a 26" ride height, the adjuster was up 3/4 the way up to the top. not knocking the product, just prefer it to be stiffer.

Only thing we see is that we now need to lower the rear about 2 inches. Just got the call, headed to pick it up from the alignment shop in a few minutes.

Thanks Chris! We continually tweak and add to the kit to make is as user friendly and comprehensive as possible.

We have been working with AFCO to get some more spring options as everyone has a different preference on ride firmness and purpose for their truck. We did extensive work with AFCO to spec the 500# springs that come with the kits. That is the recommended rate given all the information regarding truck weight, bias, power transfer etc etc. There will be 550, 575 and 600 as options available soon (before year end). And they will be offered as options in the kits going forward.

700lb springs are going to be extremely stiff, especially for street use. If thats what you are going for, by all means do it, but as mentioned above the new spring options should satisfy the requests we have seen and range of uses.

I'm pretty sure I have 650s up front on my 4-door with a SBC up front.. If I had to do it again I'd probably buy 700s...

Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but unless the stock control arms, SM control arms, and RPM control arms all have the same geometry (and I really doubt they all do), then it's not all apples to apples. A shock and spring combination that somebody recommends on one type will absolutely not perform the same on a different type.

The SM control arms in particular (appear?) to have the lower shock mount further toward the lower ball joint than the stock control arm, which is going to give the control arm less leverage against the spring. So a 600lb spring on a SM set of control arms might feel the same as a 700lb spring on stock control arms.*

There's more to it than "use XXX lbs springs." You need to either scale the corners and measure the geometry and do the math, or rely on the experience of others that have something closer to your exact combination of weight and suspension. It's no surprise that when somebody installs the entire SM kit that it all works together nicely - because the shocks and springs are setup for the geometry of the control arms in the kit.

*(I just made all that part up but you see where I'm going...)
