In October I drove mine 400 miles to Cruisin the coast & cruised all day then raced all night for 4 days before making the 400 mile trip back home. All of the day time cruising was mostly stopped in stop & go traffic also. With the exception of 15 mpg & the price of Premium these days I could go cross country ASAP!!!!!!

i picked up my ty in chicago and drove to wi, mo and tx. also made a trip to mo back to tx. total cost of two stock drive shafts and 5 dollars of tools at a dallas pawn shop to pull one out in the parking lot. then killed the motor under boost when i lost the vacum line of the regulator

well, after a 300 mile trip to the body shop to get it, and ducktaping the missing panels back on, I think she'd make it

One of my head gaskets is leaking, but I think I could make it. I made it from Texas to Oregon this summer.

As soon as I pinpoint my low oil pressure problem, my truck would make it without issue.

When I had my TY I drove it back and forth from college to my dads. (13 hour drive each way, 680 miles) I would drive non-stop and everything was always fine.

Heh, you need a "I can leave tonight, it would probably make it but, I don't want to press my luck"

. My truck had to be towed home over the Thanksgiving weekend after it broke down. Ignition module took a dump... I had replaced my cap, rotor, wires and plugs the week before so, I would have to throw an extra ignition coil in the glove box before I left just to play it safe.

Truth is, any trip much over 100 miles gives me some pause. That's why when my truck has been at the NATS it was always trailered. The greatest distance that I have ever driven my truck was over 900 miles in one day back in March of this year. I had some concerns when I left but, I made it back home no worse for the wear.

I picked up my Typhoon in northern California and drove it back to just north of Nashville. I am sure it could do it again. But I sure don't want to drive it that far again.

Re: Could you drive your SyTy Cross-Country?

I bought my Ty in Ft. Lauderdale, drove 4 hours to Clearwater where the family was on vacation. Changed the oil and the plugs in the parking lot with tools that I brought along and then drove home to Dayton, OH. It was about 1,250 miles total. Ironically, I don't like driving it around town right now. The turbo needs rebuilt and it chucks oil out at idle. Does great on the highway though.
