Custom Down pipe on TD06 20G

I am placing the stock SyTy turbo on my fiero and the guy that sold me the turbo told me that I "can make a custom DP that covers the factory wastegate puck so you can open that port up for better boost control". He said I should be able to find some posts on this but after searching for a while I couldnt find anything. I dont have the tubo yet so I dont have anything to look at.

Does anyone have any pics of what he is talking about?

Any suggestions on ways I should do this?

Yup,

you can grind out that puck adn make a flange that covers the whole back side of the turbo.
this takes away the 90* that the wastegate has to make to dump into the DP.

Jeff Scott, JSManufacturing on the forum, made the flanges at one time but they are tough to find.
Best bet is keep buggin ghim to make another GP run of them.

I work in a machine shop and can make my own (we have a wire edm machine), I was just wondering what the final product looked like and how much material I would have to remove.

Jeff *MIGHT* give you the cad drawing if he doesnt feel like diking with it anymore, but he made the first that I know of.

I wish i would of commisioned him to make my DP when i had the chance.
