My dad and I made this box to fit in the rear of my typhoon opposite the spare tire side. It took about a weekend to finish. Turned out pretty good for having never done this before . I havent finished wiring it. It sounds amazing, shakes the whole truck.

the good thing about carpetting a box is you don't have to overlap/fold it like you're wrapping a xmas gift. you can just cut staight, glue down a seam, and rub the seam a little and the carpet will cover up the seam completely - so you won't see your big corners.

how do you have that thing anchored down? Looks like it'll tip over taking a left turn if you haven't bolted it to something.

Agreed, you wnat it solidly bolted down. Years ago, I saw some pictures of some getting rearend in hatch back, the guy was lucky the sub box didn't hitot kill him, but the sub box did more interior than the car that hit him (dented roof, smash passenger seat and dashboard). A loose sub box is a dadly projectile in an accident.

Plus, if you have to go on a wild goose chase and try catch some sorry punks through back roads it could fall over and/or roll around.

What'd you make the box out of? 15 lbs sure seems awfully light?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess 1/4" plywood.
