For a Sy & I used C5 calipers, abutments & rotors. http://www.flickr.com/photos/4c_fed/sets/72157602825079206/
It should provide some info. Note: If your using all 98-02 F-body parts, no need to drill anything.

On a Ty, no need to drill an extra hole for the backing plate AND I found something that will save you some time so you don't have to trim the top ear off of the axle.
It's a spacer that goes between the axle & the backing plate. It provides enough clearance so that the backing plate sits flat and doesn't hit the ear on the axle. I can't find the link right now, searching.

AJ. Let me know what you end up going with. I want to get rid of the drum setup and go with disc brakes in the rear of the SY. Thanks.

Re: detailed pics of LS1 rear brake install

ABS is gone, I do owe Ken for the hook up. Make A list & I will start getting all in place. Here is the link to the brakes I bought. it is the ones with the sloted rotors, has backing plates brake lines. rotors are like brand new. O he has A really nice set of SLP wheels with tires also, not sure if there for sale or not. They kinda look like ZR1's.

Re: detailed pics of LS1 rear brake install

inline tube is close to my work I used aluminum tig welding rod to make a template for the lines from the top of the diff to the rear of the spring perch (small hole there ) from the spring perch out Its braided sencond set ive done this way total was like 150 for everyuthing that included the main line from the master cyl back, figure 100.00 for just the drop line back thats would be the 3 flex lines and the 2 hard lines and all fittings needed. the clamps i used were 25.00 for 4 of them from Billet specialties. Ill take some pics tonight then it will make more sense

Re: detailed pics of LS1 rear brake install

Rear because I need the bracket that mounts the calipers onto the rear. I was just going to order the one off of ebay if it works unless you know where I can get them.

Camaro and corvette calipers are different , the ls1 bhrakes or V6 camaro rears from 98 and up are the most cost effective to use as theres shitloads in salvage yards and parts are cheap for them
