i'm trying to convert from drum to disc on the sy have gathered everything but the backing plates from a ls1 camaro. parts stores say thay have no way to get them. our junk yards around here dont have them. any sugestions

Could you please be more specific on this? I'm going to be installing the Front LS1's soon and have the Rear Calipers and Brackets. I don't want to use the E-brake, so what do I need for them to bolt up without the backing plate?
I PMd Renz about making Rear brackets for the Conversion, but he is very busy. Hopefully he can make them by this winter.

I bought the backing plates, calipers and brackets from ebay. I believe there is a company that makes the bracket you need without the backing plates, maybe kore3? If your state inspection checks e-brake and you don't have them, you will fail. Whose kit did you get for the fronts? I did front and rear at the same time...Jim
