That's awesome Opie! Will it update as prices change? or do you have to replot everything to update it?

Thats kinda depressing. Anyone know what shape the 86K truck was in that sold for 6?

It will update somewhat automatically. Every Friday, I enter the eBay trucks into the Registry and Gallery. This chart is just taking that data and, well, charting it. It is set up to grab the data in the Registry for the past 12 months.

To be honest, though, currently it's only seeing about half a year, because I was too lazy to enter the data into the registry. But, I'm back on top of things now.

Opie,

On Sportmachines site, I'm confused a little. Are the shipping dates correct for early 92 TYS? How could an early prod # TY be shipped in late '92, and a later prod # TY be shipped in early '92? Seems like theres a whole group of TY's from about #111 to around #940 that should have a 1991 ship date?

Just an observation...

Matt, good catch. That certainly can't be correct. I'll take a look at it.

What the graph shows me is that trucks with high mileage (and potential issues ie: marked title, driveability issues, current damage, etc) sell for less money.

The further to the right, the higher the mileage and the lower the selling price. Maybe I am not reading it right but I don't see a fading valuation over a certain time period.

Mark my words: "nice" examples with clean histories WILL continue to increase in value, much to my friend turboj91's denial. One of us will flub our prediction and I rarely do ;).

Re: eBay prices - Graph

Any low mileage truck will bring more than a higher mileage one. That is because as miles increase, everything else decreases. Is it possible to have a 200k truck that looks nice? Of course. But a 2000 mile truck will bring much more money.

Just my .02.

It is cool to look at that graph though. What the graph tells me is, don't put your truck on ebay, it probably won't sell there. Out of roughly 100 trucks, only 22 have actually sold on ebay.

What the graph shows is that sellers have way too high of reserve prices. Unfortunately, the seller thinks the truck is worth more than it actually is.

Yeah, most SyTys on eBay don't sell. They seem to stay for sale for months or even years sometimes.
