Engine bearing noise?

Re: Engine bearing noise?

If it was a bearing, I would take a close look at your oil psi. To adjust the lifters, purchased a set of the metal lifter clips and adjust them while the car is warmed up and running. I think the chilton manual tells you how to do this, if your don't know how to do it, LMK, it's easy. I suspect it's an exhaust leak. They tick tick tick:( go to the local harbor freight, purchase a stethoscope and listen around the suspected area.

Just some thoughts to keep some easy diagnostic things to look at first before dumping a ton of money into an engine that may or may not need it;)

Keep us all informed as a conclusion to these typs of threads helps us all:tup:

I tried replacing the lifters with comp cam lifters and when I reinstalled them I noticed no change in anything. I also changed my cat and mufflers while trying to solve the problem. I also changed oil, plugs, wires, cap,and fuel filter, just to eliminate anything else. Nothing seems to effect the sound.
